As a freelance artist for many years, my instrument is my voice. I play piano and love the complexity of jazz harmony and understanding the chords and the melody. The lyrics are the stories I tell with great effort to respect the composers whose songs I deliver.
Coming up, the music I loved to perform was blues, jazz, rock, and groove oriented. Some bands with whom I sang featured my original compositions.
I believe in digging deep down into my gut to relay the musical message. Therefore, I choose songs to which I relate and truly feel the music I am honored to share. I like to swing hard, feel the groove and caress a beautiful ballad. The musicians with whom I work are world class and for this, I am blessed to share the same stage.
